Primark's Caviar Style Manicure Set

At only £2.50 when I saw this in Primark I knew I had to give it a go.
I'm not the best at doing my nails but figured it didn't harm to try.
In the box you get a nail polish and a bottle with the little beads in it and a funnel for putting the little beads that aren't used back in the bottle for next time.
The instructions from the back of the box are as follows:
Apply 2 coats of nail polish onto the nail (do each nail individually) Make sure the plastic tray is under your hand for the next step.
Sprinkle the pearl beads over the coated nail (whilst still wet) and gently press into place once covered.
Once finished place the funnel into the bottle top and pour the remaining beads into the bottle from the tray.
Wait 15-20 minutes and your nails will be dry and looking amazing!
I'm not sure what they mean by tray, I used an old flora tub lid but maybe they meant to open up the box I'm not sure.

Inside the box and my finished thumb

It was relatively easy to use. I decided only to do my 2 thumbs with the caviar beads and just painted the rest of my nails. Within an hour or so I noticed that some started to fall off. So I decided to try putting a clear top coat on. I used 2 coats of OPI Nail Envy. I feel it maybe took a bit of the shine of the colour away but it kept them in place a lot better and I wish I had done it from the beginning.
48 hours later there were some obvious gaps, but still doing ok. At 72 hours it was time to take it off.
After 48hrs

Overall for the price I feel that it was worth it but probably just for the day/night and I would highly recommend adding a few layers of top coat on.
I haven't tried the Ciate version but would I try this one again and would I consider buying it again (they also do a white version)? At £2.50 yes and yes. Definitely worth picking one up when you are next instore.

Just found online today these three cute tops from The Department at House of Fraser. All £45.00 each reduced to £5.40 each. Hoping to use the black and white one for work and the other two would look great with skinny jeans in the summer weather (we can all hope can't we!) Delivered free to store. I can't wait to try them on when they arrive on Saturday, hope they look as nice on! I'll be sure to let you know.

Bargain of The Week

This week's bargain of the week is another £1.00 Primark bracelet. However this time it is full price! Yes you heard right £1.00 is its full price, no sale or promotion, full price.
It is elasticated with silver/pewter coloured beads with an encrusted initial dangling on the end.
Its quite thin and delicate and the beads shimmer in the light.
Looks lovely on its own or stacked with other bracelets.
I obviously picked L because its my own initial but they have others.
They didn't have many in my local store left but I'm hoping that they get more in but might be worth getting to yours quick if you like it.

Bargain of the Week

My Bargain of the week this week is this cute bracelet from Primark.
It was reduced in the sale to £1.00!!

That said it was a bargain price of only £3.00 to begin with.
But at only £1.00 I have bought 2 to allow for any breakages I might have.
It will look great dressed up for a more polished look but equally as great used for dressing up just jeans and a t-shirt.
I love it and it reminds me of the much more expensive Mawi bracelets. This one is currently priced at £375.

Marc Jacobs for £1.99? Yes Please!

Marc Jacobs for £1.99? Yes Please!

I've just been admiring the Marc Jacobs Diet Coke bottles on www.Selfridges.com. Aren't they cute? I have a Karl Lagerfeld one that I got a London Fashion Weekend a few years ago. My only problem is deciding which one, or all three? I was born in the 80s so maybe it should be that one, but then again I grew up in the 90s, but The 00s if cute too. Unfortunately I don't live anywhere near a Selfridges Store so will have to pay the £4.95 delivery charge. So in theory buying all three would be more thrifty than buying one! I'd keep it/them on my dresser next to my unopened Karl Lagerfeld one - these are too cute to open. Which one is your favourite?
